Tony’s Quilters

Tony’s Quilters sew quilts as gifts for infants baptized at St. Anthony’s Church and also for shut-ins from our parish who enjoy a lap quilt as a gesture that we continue to care for them. Anyone who possesses basic knowledge of sewing to cut, assemble, and make quilts is welcome to join. If you possess a sewing machine you should bring it along with basic sewing supplies. We meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month, excluding holidays, in the classroom at the hall of St. Anthony’s. For further information, please contact Dorothy Morrison at 634.0224.

Women’s Group

Mission Statement:
We, the women of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, acknowledge God’s reign on earth as revealed by the teachings of Jesus Christ. We are the Body of Christ and are called to build the reign of God’s love. We strive to accomplish this through our participation, service and fellowship with the women of our community.

The Women’s Group works in coordinating practices and activities to serve not only women but the entire parish. We use human and financial resources to help spread God’s word and charity. These goals can be executed through but not limited to fundraising, fellowship, and leadership.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club works to promote a strong example of Catholic spirit and service. They work to provide leadership and fellowship to accomplish parish goals. They also strive to set an example of mentorship. The Men’s Club sponsors various activities to promote fellowship with in the parish community, e.g. Wine and Cheese Tasting, Bags Tournaments, Trap Shoot, Lenten Fish Fry.

Tonyz Teenz and Tweenz

Food. Faith. Fellowship. Fun. All young people in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend Tonyz Teenz and Tweenz at St. Anthony Bartonville. We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the month from October-May from 5:30-8:30pm. Dinner is provided. Please check the parish calendar or bulletin for exact meeting dates. For the 2021-22 year, we will be using the following studies:

Fall 2021: Case for Christ: Skeptics dismiss the Jesus of the Gospels by claiming there is no evidence in the case for Christ. Lee Strobel disagrees. The former legal journalist and one-time atheist knows how to ask tough questions. His own search for the truth about Jesus led him to faith in Christ. In the six-session study, you will follow Strobel on a quest for the truth about Jesus. Rejecting easy answers, you will sift through fascinating historical evidence as you weigh compelling expert testimony. In the end, you may very well see Jesus in a new way – and even, like Strobel, find your life transformed.

Spring 2022: The Chosen, Season One: For the first time ever, the greatest story ever told is being presented as a multi-season show. Digging deeper into the backstories and context of the people and events of the gospels, Season One of the #1 highest crowd-funded media project of all time introduces you to people such as Simon Peter, Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene, Matthew, and of course Jesus in a way never before seen on film.

Both studies are ecumenical and open to all. Young people are encouraged to bring their friends!

If it is your young person’s first time attending, please complete the 2-minute consent form at https://tinyurl.com/sta-youth.
