Religious Education
Youth Education
As a prime function of St. Anthony Parish, the religious education of our young people is very important. To aid parents in the baptismal mandate, accepted at the baptism of their child, to “be the best of teachers in the ways of the faith by what you say and do.” (from the Rite of Baptism), St. Anthony Parish provides a Religious Education program. The Religious Education program provides the formal classroom instruction needed for a child to learn the fundamental beliefs of the Roman Catholic Tradition. Through classroom instruction and liturgical programs students not only learn about the faith but experience the faith and to celebrate that faith in the sacraments.
The Religious Ed program for children is under the direction of Karen Campbell.
Vacation Bible School
A 15+ year tradition at St. Anthony Parish is VBS! The program is scheduled in the last week of July and is held in the evening. Each year a new and exciting theme helps campers to learn about God, hear God’s word in the scriptures and celebrate God’s love for each and every one of us. Watch for information on the next VBS adventure for our children to encounter God and have a GREAT time for 5 nights!
Adult Education and Bible Study
Learning to be a follower of Jesus is never ending. The process of conversion, putting on the Lord Jesus, continues as long as we live. St. Anthony Parish offers for Adult Education and Formation through various program offerings throughout the year. These programs include multi-session Bible Study Programs, topical programs on the faith and information on similar offerings at other local parishes.
RCIA
Annually, St. Anthony Church teams with Holy Family Church and St. Ann Church to offer instruction and spiritual formation for those interested in learning about, and perhaps joining, the Roman Catholic Church. This process is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
