Funeral Luncheons Ministry

From the beginning of our parish, an important service to parishioner families has been a luncheon after a funeral. At St. Anthony’s we offer a gratis meal, giving families the opportunity to gather to remember and celebrate the life of their loved one. At the heart of that meal are food donations provided by our parishioners. With volunteers helping with setup, serving and cleanup, the family can spend time visiting.

How to Get Involved with This Ministry

Donate food: We use two different methods to communicate our food needs for an upcoming funeral luncheon – SignUp Genius and phone calls. With SignUp Genius you receive an email with a link giving you the chance to sign up online to donate food. Needed dishes and the number of each requested are listed and you select the dish you’d like to donate. If you prefer a phone call, this information is given to you by phone.

Help the day of: Volunteers help with setup, food preparation, serving and cleanup.
