Garage Sales
Tony’s Garage Sale – April 22, 23, 24
Our parish holds Tony’s Garage Sale in the spring and fall every year. Tony’s Garage Sale is well known for having reasonably priced items and for being set up like a department store, for easy shopping both inside and outside. It spans 2 ½ days with the first two days also including lunch for purchase and a bake sale.
Started years ago, Tony’s Garage Sale has grown to be a community sale that benefits many. It helps not only our church but those in surrounding communities. At the end of the sale, items are donated to area organizations serving those in need. These have included St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mission, Goodwill, Hope Chest, the homeless, and the jail/prison.
There are many ways to help before and during the sale:
- Donate your unwanted items (drop off now until April 17 for the Spring sale)
- Sort, price and box items
- Pick up donated items from those unable to bring them
- Move boxed items to sale areas on move-in day
- Organize departments
- Distribute flyers
- Donate baked goods for bake sale
- Be a cashier or bagger
- Assist shoppers
Information will be in the parish bulletin, on the myParish app and on the parish’s Facebook page starting a few months before each sale.
